new content is always great. not as large array of story heros or towers that are unlocked by playing as I would've hoped or even as past games. Hopefully more will be added with new story content later on. otherwise, it's rather bland. feels like a huge step backwards in game design. tower upgrades are boring. only having a single path to follow seems like a shortcut rather than a feature. the heros aren't very interesting. and story seems much shorter than previous entries.

I am a fan of all the kingdom rush saga, played all the 5 of them and other versions of it. This one, unlike others needs to be purchased. I paid the 10$ thinking it would be bigger, longer and greater than the others. All wrong. Yes, it has really good points resembling the others, but I totally recommend you to NOT BUY IT, just download kingdom rush origins, or the first one. They had longer campaign and infinite mode waves (this one does not have it, and it's not free!).

Great that the devs went back to the traditions of Origins and Frontiers in terms of maps and game logic, which makes this the third-best in the KR series. Although some of the last levels and challenges are Pandaemonium-level hard, so I just watched some walkthrough and got amazed, but still didn't feel like doing them. Anya was my favorite hero: such a nice story of being the child of opposite heroes from previous games (Dante and Margosa). I had a fun time on my 8+12 hours train rides! ;-)
