About Rogue with the Dead: Idle RPG
Rogue with the Dead is an original roguelike RPG where you command and power up troops on an endless, looping journey.
What
kills you makes you stronger.
An innovative game from room6, the team that has brought you such successes as Unreal Life and Gen’ei AP.
Your mission is to lead an envoy of soldiers for 300 miles, in order to
defeat the Demon Lord at the end.
Completing quests and killing monsters will earn you coins that you can use to make your troops stronger.
They fight automatically, and you can choose to either wait and watch them have at it or
join the battle yourself.
Soldiers respawn after they’re killed, but you don’t. You’ll lose all soldiers, money, and items, except for
artifacts, and you’ll have to start over.
To stand a chance against the powerful bosses impeding your progress, you’ll need to collect as many artifacts as you can. Defeating them, in turn, will grant you more artifacts.

At first, you’ll deal 10 or 100 points of damage. As you progress, the numbers will grow in the millions, billions, trillions... Enjoy the exponential growth of your power.
A basic warrior unit with high health who fights on the front line to protect other soldiers.
An archer that can attack from afar. However, it is slower and has less health than warriors.
A tiny warrior with low health and weak attack, but very fast movement. It can quickly sneak close to enemies to attack them directly.
A magician that deals high damage to enemies within an area. However, it is slow and rather fragile.

Excellent incremental RPG with a lot of interesting mechanics and growth systems. Surprisingly good narrative in a genre where there's usually none. My only issue is that there is a specific system that requires watching dozens of ads per reset (rerolling unit as purchased) meaning you'll never grow well if you don't buy the ad removal package... which is really expensive, 11€ per month or 36€ permanently. So I played F2P for a bit but wouldn't pay that much so I quit.

$11 to remove ads temporarily? $37 to remove them permanently? Are you insane? I hate ads, but not enough to pay that much, no matter how much potential your game has. Also, kudos (sarcastic) for locking an extremely basic QoL feature, 2x speed, behind another, completely separate $29 paywall. If the prices were reasonable, maybe $8-10 for both combined, I'd be willing to give the devs some support, but nearly $70 is unhinged for a mobile game. And that's w/o the passes and other bundles.

This is an excellent mobile game, however, every meaningful action within the game is made better by watching a 15-30 second ad. And to progress, you will NEED the bonus from the ad. In the end, you will spend more time in ads than in gameplay. Ad skipping is available to purchase, as is faster game speed, if you purchase both, this tiny mobile game will cost 70USD. It is unfortunate, as the one day trial of ad skipping/speed shows how fun the game could be, but not $70 of fun.
