CREATE LIFE ON MARS
Lead a corporation and launch ambitious Mars terraforming projects. Direct massive construction works, manage and use your resources, create cities, forests and oceans, and set rewards and objectives to win the game!
In Terraforming Mars, place your cards on the board and use them wisely:
- Achieve a high Terraform Rating, by increasing the temperature and oxygen level or creating oceans... Make the planet habitable for future generations!
- Get Victory Points by building cities, infrastructure and other ambitious projects.
- But watch out! Rival corporations will try to slow you down... That's a nice forest you planted there... It'd be a shame if an asteroid crashed right on it.

Plays pretty well overall. However, since I bought the expansions, there's a glitch in solo mode (at least in TR63). At the end of the game, even if you win, you have to forfeit because there's no button to continue or anything like that. You can back out of the game, but it still shows up as an active game under Resume. Not a deal breaker, but pretty annoying.

The most frustrating thing about the game is the timer. The player timer seems to count down even when it isn't your turn (card drafting for instance). The mechanic of kicking you when you've spent 2-3 hours invested in playing it doesn't make any sense. I've had a lot of games where I was kicked on the last generation and not be able to see how it ended. A better method would be to limit a player's per turn time to 20 seconds or so after they've allotted their 45 min / 1 hr / 2 hr.

the board game is fun and this app is a great representation of it. there are minor grievances I have, but gameplay and tutorial is solid for such a complicated game. when a card is played that would exceed global parameters, there isn't a way to back out. when there is an ocean zone that is open, it doesn't highlight well enough to be able to tap on quickly.

Edit Dec. 2023: Some bugs have been fixed. Seems like tags still not totally right, but will check. Edit2: Numerous saved games with friends not loading. Great Game, but One Glaring Bug: Card tags are not counted correctly for cards with multiple tags. It only counts one of them, which is not how the game works. This has ruined several games where strategy relied on getting a certain number of tags. Seems like an easy fix and a glaring miss. Would rate to 5 stars if this gets fixed.

I love this game. However, when I purchased the prelude expansion, I was having a great time, but one day, it just wouldn't let me select the prelude decks, so I looked and asked me to repurchase the prelude explanation. I tried to do that since you know love the game, but jokes on me can't since I ALREADY PURCHASED IT. So, being sensible I wrote an email to the developer about my problem and wrote a bug report to nothing no reply. So until I get it back 1 star.
