About Ultimate Dice Wars: Reborn
Ultimate Dice Wars: Reborn is a turned-based strategy game similar to Risk. Dice Wars is a combination of strategy and luck. The better your strategy the less you rely on luck.
How to play:
The purpose of the game is to control the entire map. To attack select your territory with at least 2 dices and then choose opponent territory bordered with selected. Who roll larger total number wins. Attacker must roll larger number than defender. You can attack multiple times per turn. At the end of the turn, the player receives a number of dices equal the largest connected territories he controls. Dices added randomly. Then turn goes to the next player.

- 3 map sizes
- different AI strategies
- up to 7 players
Important notes: dice roll is completely fair, AI don't have any advantage and will never have. Also keep in mind that when you attack opponent territory you have to roll MORE than your opponent and if you have the same number of dices on the territory your chances to win is less than 50%.

Fun and slick, but rigged. Even on normal mode, there is essentially no point ever trying to attack opponents' tiles with an equal number of dice - you will only win about 1/4 times. In some games, the script seems to decide that players should be unable to win even against much weaker opponents. This limits the strategy element. Tip to developers, to improve longevity: difficulty should be based on the opponents' skill levels, rather than giving players unrealistic and unfair dice odds.

This app captures the old browser-based game that I came to love. It's more flexible than the original, especially in its options for setting up the game. I do believe the AI is better especially on the harder setting. If you're a fan of turn-based strategy games with random elements, this game is excellent. I'm a big fan of Civ5, and it does scratch the itch of going for a domination win. Albeit an incredibly simplified game compared to other games. Of course it doesn't take hours to finish.

I've been playing a lot of these dice wars clones and this one is by far the best. It's well worth the money to go ad-free ($1.50 I think). Three suggestions: 1] get the app to remember the game settings e.g. large map, 7 players, hard difficulty. So I don't have to keep plugging that in. 2] I'd love an even bigger map (that needs scrolling) and random difficulties for different color dice and an extra difficult setting. 3] create alliances, allow colors to gang up on you or each other.
